Food and beverages

Located by the hotel's gardens, with a soft colour decoration, the Bútio Restaurant offers an excellent regional and international menu A-La-Carte. It is named after a famous ship - Bútio - which connected the town with the island's capital, Funchal, for some 37 years. This is a pleasant area for your meals.

Area information

Porto Moniz is known for its breath-taking landscapes. Its water springs are its ex-libris. Volcanic rocks fill up with the tide, forming very pleasant pools, especially in summer.
But Porto Moniz is also a place of green fields: the agricultural fields are true movie images and the Laurissilva forest (Natural Park of the Madeira Island) contains unique multi-centenary species of trees. These landscapes are widely appreciated and can be enjoyed from any of the belvederes around Porto Moniz.
Porto Moniz is also a starting point for unforgettable walks, such as the seaside walk to the neighbouring town of São Vicente. This is one of Madeira's most picturesque town, where you can visit the famous local caves. By the narrow road that passes through the hills, you will find true natural treasures such as the "Véu da Noiva" waterfall. This same road also passes by Seixal, the town that hosts a Natural Ecologic Reservation, trout nurseries, and where you can take wonderful boat rides.
Alternative visits to towns further inland, such as Santa, where the Santa Madalena Chapel hosts a pilgrimage every year in June. Paúl da Serra embodies a magnificent table-land, where the mountains and the clouds become one only.

Tourists information

As you leave the Madeira Airport, take the highway towards Funchal (15 Km). After you pass the capital and Câmara de Lobos, take the road to Ribeira Brava (14 Km). Then, head to São Vicente (16 Km), where you'll find a road which leads you straight to Porto Moniz (15 Km).

If cancelled later, the first night will be charged.
In case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.
