Or visit the castle, church and other buildings in the town's historic centre.Penhas da Saude (10km) - Visit these ski slopes, north west of the town. Best conditions are usually during February and March.
Sortelha (35km) - One of the area's very small historic and traditional, old villages.

By Car (from Faro - South Portugal):- Follow the A2, in the direction of Lisboa / Castro Verde, Marateca.
- Exit to the A13/N119 until you reach Infantado.
- Follow the N10 until Vila Franca de Xira.
- At the detour to Torres Novas/A23 leave the highway and follow the A23, direction Abrantes, Castelo Branco.
- Exit at Covilhã Sul.
- Head to City Centre, Praça do Município and you're at the Solneve Hotel.
By Car (from Oporto - North Portugal):
- Enter the A1, heading South.
- When reaching Albergaria take the A23 towards Viseu, Guarda.
- Once in Guarda take the A23 exit Covilhã Norte.
- Follow the indications to the city centre, and Praça do Município and you're at the Solneve Hotel.
